Silver Birch String Quartet is one of Canada's most exciting and innovative young musical groups, quickly earning the admiration of audiences and critics for their vibrant performances. Christian Robinson, violin; Geoff McCausland, violin; Jane Russell, viola; and Alexandra Lee, cello, are strongly committed to the music of our time, with an extensive repertoire that includes music by John Weinzweig, R. Murray Schafer, Linda Bouchard, Robert Lemay, along with the young Canadian composer Alex Eddington. The album was nominated for a JUNO in 2010: contemporary jazz album of the year.
