Stuart Constable has had the pleasure of performing for the last ten years and doesn’t plan on quitting any time soon. Some of his past performances include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, South Pacific, Footloose, Village of Idiots, As You Like It, She Loves Me, West Side Story, The Wizard of Oz, and most recently Love You Forever… And More Munch. Over the years he has also had the opportunity to direct and choreograph fights. Love and thanks to his friends and family for always believing in him. Until next time!
Helen Juvonen
as Jonquil
Helen is thrilled to be making her STC debut in her favourite fairy tale. Recently she played Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing (Single Thread) and Miss Prism in The Importance of Being Earnest (Casa Loma). Other credits include Twelfth Night (Urban Bard); The Mousetrap (Toronto Truck Theatre); and Macbeth (Shakespeare in the Square). Her own play The Aleatory Project has been presented at festivals across the country.
Jessica Moss
as Rougi
Jessica is very happy to be back in Sudbury after playing a gaggle of different characters in STC’s Alice in Wonderland last year. Previous credits include Swoon! (Toronto Fringe); Tout Comme Elle (Luminato/Necessary Angel); the WITCH of edmonton (SummerWorks/redlightdistrict); The Taming of the Shrew (Humber River Shakespeare); dust (Summerworks/WildSide); The Ark: Bertolt Brecht (National Arts Centre). Upcoming, Modern Love, her own one-woman show (Next Stage Festival in January); Was Spring (Tarragon Theatre).
Jonathan Purvis
as The Beast
A graduate of the Mount Royal University acting program in Calgary, Jonathan resides in Toronto. Recent performances include The Three Musketeers and Little Women: The Musical (Citadel Theatre, Edmonton). Other credits include Love’s Labour’s Lost; Dying City; Dirty Rotten Scoundrels; The Forbidden Phoenix; Disney’s Beauty and the Beast; and Almost, Maine. Jonathan is a dancer, singer, and a stage/film combat performer, and co-founder of the youtube show Action Playground (actionplayground.ca). Thanks to Mom and Dad.
Erika Santillana
as Beauty
Erika is thrilled to be making her STC debut! A graduate of the Music Theatre – Performance program at Sheridan College, Erika was most recently touring the USA with the 1st Broadway National Tour of West Side Story. James R. Woods
as Blotti
James is excited to join STC’s cast of Beauty and The Beast and play father to three daughters! It’s been a year of ‘firsts’: Angelina’s Dad in the original Canadian cast of Angelina Ballerina: The Musical (Vital Theatre); tollbooth attendant Norbert Garstecki in the Toronto premiere of The Great American Trailer Park Musical (Hart House Theatre), and the ever-borrowing landowner Pischik in Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard in the Guild Festival Theatre’s inaugural season. Luisa is thrilled to be directing _Beauty and The Beast at Sudbury Theatre Centre with a fabulous cast, crew and administration. She is currently at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival as Education Coordinator. Elsewhere she has worked at The Shaw Festival, Blyth Festival, Huron Country Playhouse, Magnus Theatre, Stirling Festival Theatre, Stephenville Festival, Tarragon Theatre, Tidemark Theatre, the National Film Board of Canada, Sheridan College’s Music Theatre – Performing Arts Preparation Program and the Canadian Opera Company.
Matthew Richardson
Fight Director
Matthew is currently celebrating his 21st year in the study, practice and refinement of the art form of Stage Combat. Since joining Fight Directors Canada in 1993, he has continuously trained, choreographed and performed fights professionally. Recent projects include historical backsword vs. smallsword in The Duellist, cutlass for Villains (Disney Cruise Lines) and the award-winning longsword fight scene, Trespasser Winner of the first annual Stage Combat Competition at CombatCon, Las Vegas.
Doug Robinson
Set Designer
Doug returns to STC after designing last season’s productions of Alice in Wonderland and I Had A Job I Liked. Once and looks forward to designing the settings for The Drowsy Chaperone later this season. He recently designed the premiere of The Light Gets In based on the songs of Leonard Cohen, and Hana’s Suitcase (Magnus Theatre). Later this year, he returns to Magnus Theatre designing The Syringa Tree and The Long Weekend.

Lighting Designer
Travis is tickled pink to be back for another magical children’s production at STC. Previous lighting design credits include Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Hart House Theatre); The 39 Steps, Doubt, Sleeping Beauty, A Year With Frog and Toad (STC); Hana’s Suitcase, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Magnus Theatre); Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Debbie Does Dallas (Ghost Light Projects); Knickers: a Brief Comedy, Dump Guys, Bedtime Stories (Port Stanley Festival Theatre).
Charlotte Robertson
Costume Designer
Charlotte is pleased to be designing another fantastic STC show. Some STC favourites include Alice in Wonderland, Moonlight & Magnolias, The Full Monty, The 39 Steps and Waiting for Godot. Passionate about all things costume, Charlotte has been Head of Wardrobe for the Blyth Summer Festival; Costume Designer/Technician for New West Theatre in Lethbridge, AB, and Costume Dresser for the Cirque du Soleil. Thanks to Roni and Leslie for making magic daily in wardrobe.
Eamonn Reil
Stage Manager
Despite David, Kathy, Judi, Mike, Ben, Charlotte, Natalie, Julian, Jeff, Paula, Janna, Kim, Leslie and Roni’s best efforts, Eamonn is back to SM Beauty and The Beast after recently ASMing Heartbreak House and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof for The Shaw Festival. For STC, Eamonn has SM’d The Love List and Alice in Wonderland. Thanks to the STC gang for everything and much love to Jane.
Shirley Stenabaugh
Apprentice Stage Manager
Shirley is thrilled to be back at STC for her second show this season. She is looking forward to yet another fantastic show with the cast and crew. Recent credits include The 39 Steps (STC); The Situationists (The Cabaret Company) and All Shook Up (Theatre Cambrian).
