Youth Drama Classes
The Sudbury Theatre Centre is pleased to announce the beginning of a new session of Youth Drama Classes for ages 8 to 17. These classes are on Saturdays, beginning in September and continue for 10 consecutive Saturdays (excluding holidays) until November.
THE DISCOVERY CLASS
For ages 8 to 11, this class is designed to offer students an opportunity to awaken talent within themselves and to gain confidence as well as learn some of the basics of performance. This group meets from 10 to 11:30 am each Saturday.
THE DEVELOPMENT CLASS
For ages 12 to 17, this class meets from noon to 1:30 pm each Saturday for ten weeks. This offers students who have mastered some of the basics the opportunity to develop their performance skills through both theatre exercises and scripted scenes.
At the end of ten weeks, youths perform in a small show for parents and friends.

INSTRUCTOR CHELSEA PAPINEAU
Chelsea is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. Her performances have taken her up and down the West Coast of the United States and all the way to Canada. Acting credits include Romeo and Juliet, Oklahoma! and Carousel. Her Sudbury Credits for Theatre Cambrian include Annie Get Your Gun and Beauty and the Beast. Chelsea’s training in voice, improvisation, dance and stage combat are an asset to her teaching.
