When the careers of two Shakespearean actors have sunk to a new low, they hear of a wealthy matron in York, PA who is about to die and leave her fortune to her long-lost English nephews. Set to impersonate the nephews, they discover that the relatives aren’t nephews but nieces.

MARK AGOSTINUCCI as Butch
Mark is pleased to be part of his second STC mainstage production after having appeared in Romeo and Juliet and two of STC’s Young(ish) Company productions. A graduate of Algonquin’s Theatre Arts Program, Mark has performed in Trafford Tanzi (Black Dog Productions) as well as in short films (Laurentian University) and instructional videos (Vale INCO). Mark also serves as a standardized patient at NOSM. Many thanks to his family and girlfriend.
LAURA CASWELL as Meg
Laura is so happy to be back in Sudbury (which is slowly becoming her second home). She has been seen in many STC productions including Little Shop of Horrors, Buddy Holly and Sweeney Todd. She is grateful for the wonderfully supportive audiences in Sudbury. Thanks to the cast and production team for this fabulous opportunity. She feels much like Meg, fulfilling her desire to be an actress! Much love to Scott and Jaden, my two “Leading Men”.
LINDA GORANSON as Florence
Linda is thrilled to be back in Sudbury. STC credits include Cinderella, Half Life and Jack and the Beanstalk. Other recent credits include On Golden Pond, Grounded, Steel Magnolias, The Glass Menagerie, and Noises Off. Extensive film and TV credits include Owning Mahowny, Mr. and Mrs. Loving, Harrison Bergeron, The Rowdyman. Best Actress Awards from Canadian Film and Yorkton Festivals. Linda starred in the Oscar nominated short The Painted Door. Upcoming, A Nice Family Gathering (Theatre NorthWest, BC).
ASHLEY MAGWOOD as Audrey
Ashley is pleased to be making her STC debut. Recent credits include Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, and Peter Pan (Stage West); Cabin Fever (Toronto Fringe); and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (Touring Players). She appeared in Little Women and Come Back to the 5 and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean at the University of Windsor where she received her BFA in Acting. Thanks to family and friends for their continued support and encouragement.
MARK McGRINDER as Jack
Mark is delighted to be making his STC debut. Most recently, he appeared in Summer of My Amazing Luck (The Thousand Islands Playhouse); and assistant directed Blackbird with Studio 180–a company he co-founded. Previous credits include Stuff Happens, Offensive Shadows, The Arab-Israeli Cookbook and The Laramie Project (Studio 180); The Foursome (Showboat Festival Theatre); The Beggar’s Opera (Thousand Islands); Salt-Water Moon (Port Mansion); The Kitchen Witches, Over the River and Through the Woods (Theatre Northwest); and five seasons at Shaw Festival.
JEFF MILLER as Leo
Jeff is delighted to be back at STC for the third time. Last season, he was Donald in STC’s production of Half Life, and in 2007 was Howie in Rabbit Hole. He spent four summers with Nipissing Stage in North Bay appearing in 16 productions including Stones In His Pockets and Moon Over Buffalo. Toronto theatre includes The Arab-Israeli Cookbook, The Laramie Project, Poochwater and Sean Reycraft’s One Good Marriage.
MICHAEL RAWLEY as Duncan
Michael Rawley is very happy to be back in Sudbury where he has performed The Wazir in Aladdin, Eddie Morose in Last Call, and directed Beethoven Lives Upstairs. He has played Scar in The Lion King (Toronto and the American National Tour). His favourite role is Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, which he has performed three times (Theatre New Brunswick, Globe Theatre, Regina and the Grand Theatre, London) and will be performing again this Christmas in Niagara Falls. WILLIAM VICKERS as Doc
Bill is a twenty-two year member of the Shaw Festival acting ensemble and has worked across Canada for major regional theatres. He also spent three seasons with the Stratford Shakespeare Festival. Bill lives in Niagara and has worked locally with the Niagara Symphony, The Showboat Festival Theatre and the Niagara International Chamber Music Festival. This spring Bill was in Germany working for BeMe Theatre of Munich. He is a graduate of Bishop’s University and The National Theatre School of Canada.

DAVID SAVOY Director
David, new Artistic Director of the Sudbury Theatre Centre, was previously Artistic Director of Showboat Festival Theatre in Port Colborne for five seasons. He completed his Master of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre at UBC, Vancouver, in 2008. David is happy to be back at STC after having been in its touring company throughout Northern Ontario, including James Bay and lower Hudson’s Bay in 1989. The adventure continues!
JOSEPHINE HO Stage Manager
This is Josephine’s first time working at STC. She has been a Stage Manager for the past seven years and continues to love what she does. Recent theatre includes Clooney Tunes (Victoria Playhouse Petrolia) and Sexy Laundry (Lighthouse Festival Theatre). Favourite credits include Barefoot in the Park (Theatre & Company); Seussical (Theatre Aquarius); Time after Time: The Chet Baker Project (Crow’s Theatre). Thanks to Phil, family and friends.
DOUG ROBINSON Set Designer
Doug is a graduate of The National Theatre School of Canada and The Motley Theatre Design Course, London. One of his first jobs after graduation from NTS was as props maker for STC in 1972. He returns to Sudbury after 38 years to design the setting for Leading Ladies. Doug will return later in this season with designs for Sleeping Beauty and The Love List. TRAVIS HATT Lighting Desinger
Travis is elated to be back at the STC as a Lighting Designer and working with the new Artistic Director David Savoy for the opening of the 09.10 season. Previous lighting design credits include Sweeney Todd, A Year With Frog and Toad, The Miser, Buddy Holly, and The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr (abridged) (STC); Memories of the Rat Pack (Port Stanley Festival Theatre); Nijinsky: Through a Window (The MT Space); Marat/Sade, Mimetic Flesh (University of Waterloo Drama Department).
JOANNE KELEMEN Costume Designer
Joanne is pleased to be back after having worked on four previous STC shows: Sweeney Todd, Frog and Toad, The Miser, and Buddy Holly. She returned to school at the ripe old age of 48 to study costume design at John Abbott College, Montreal. Favourite designs include Evita (John Abbot College); and Quartet (Hudson Theatre). Thanks to David Savoy for his faith and encouragement and to an awesome sewing team: Leslie and Sheila.
