A one- to two-minute monologue from a child’s perspective is required (if you are unable to find a suitable monologue, please download one of the monologues at the right).
REHEARSALS
Rehearsals begin Monday 25 January 2010, evenings only, three times per week. There will be rehearsals Thursday and Friday of Reading Week (18 and 19 February 2010).
Show matinees are 6 to 9 April 2010 (two matinees per day, ending at 2pm for the day). No evening shows. Public shows are Saturday, 10 April 2010 at 2 and 7.
HONORARIUM
$500 honorarium for actors
REQUIREMENTS
4 actors needed: 2 males, 2 females (must have the ability to look/play young on stage).
Performance experience is required.

ABOUT THE PLAY
J.J., a young girl from the country, runs into more than she can handle when she encounters Raymond, a bully who takes out his frustrations and fears by terrorizing her. With the help of her new friends, David, an imaginative youngster with ambitions to be the next Wynton Marsalis, and Karla, a physically powerful ally with a soft heart, J.J. is able to confront both her fears and Raymond's attacks and solve her problem.
