Playwrights’ Junction Public Showcase

It’s the beginning of the end. Or is it the end of the beginning? Either way, it’s time to hear what it all sounds like when read aloud. Have I once again lost you dear blog reader? Well, how about this…

STC’s Playwrights Junction Offers Free Public Showcase February 6th, 7pm

Yep, our playwrights have been working away together since September. Under the guidance of Matthew Heiti, STC’s Playwright-in-Residence, these playwrights have been meeting weekly to work and re-work their own original plays. We’ve got everything from a lovely old world romance to a nuclear disaster in a forgotten Northern Ontario missile silo!

Don’t tell me that there isn’t something here for you!

The dramatic reading, featuring local actors, will be hosted by Matthew Heiti. (Did you know that he’s a Genie nominee this year?) “The evening caps off a tremendously successful first season for the inaugural playwrights’ group.” says Heiti

So, come and hear for yourself some short pieces and excerpts from Lara Bradley, Adric Cluff, Paulette Dahl, Amanda Darling, Cora Eckert, Catherine Jaftha, Janine Oloman, Cal Rodya, Michael Shepherd, and Lawrence Van Beek.
