Professional actor Jeff Miller has become one of Sudbury's fan-favourites. Both his hilarity in Leading Ladies and poignant portrayal of a bereaved father in Rabbit Hole have left their mark on STC audiences.
This winter, while performing in STC's c...

I hope you are all having a terrific summer so far. Things are quiet around STC, but never for long. Y.E.S. theatre will be moving on to our stage in just over a month for their production of Spring Awakening which, after their previous productions of Hair and Rent, I know the up and coming actors in Sudbury will dazzle with the passion and talent.
While STC may not have anything on the boards during the summer, things are far from idle. I have been busy putting together all the ingredients for our upcoming season. Actors have bee...

The selection of plays at STC only gets better and better; this year's array was stellar.
"Wingfield Lost and Found" was exceedingly delightful; Dan Needles created another great story. Rod Beattie is mesmerizing in his portrayal of all of his neighbourhood friends; I especially like the 'Squire'. Being a woman, I find 'Maggie' such a resourceful woman. Long live Needles, Beattie, and the theatre!
STC would love to hear from all of our patrons. If you have a sto...
Wow, the Playwrights’ Junction Evening of Readings Monday night did not disappoint! From the dramatic to the comic and the surprising, the readings were all excellent.

Could you write a story about a hotel room with a personality? I mean a literal personality? How about the thick dramatic silent moments when a husband returns home after years of absence from...
It’s the beginning of the end. Or is it the end of the beginning? Either way, it’s time to hear what it all sounds like when read aloud. Have I once again lost you dear blog reader? Well, how about this…
